Lets start with his debut album "The College Dropout", with his single "Jesus walks", which was his breakout song. This song is about his shattered relationship with religion and he doesn't know what is going to happen because of the fact that he hasn't prayed in a long time, afraid he wont be able to reconnect with God, saying that schools need teachers like he needs God. Then we have songs like "No Church In the Wild", which are more about backing away from organize Christianity, which is the aspect of the rest of "The College Dropout" album. As you can see Kanye thinks a lot of about himself and his music and he doesn't like when things do not go his way, as seen with his multiple relationship's with fellow artists. He recently told The New York Times that, "His religious references on Yeezus are actually not so much about him becoming more self-important as they are about God getting less so".[internet sources #2].

On the next album he put out called "Late Registration", he continues to battle with the relationship between him and God. As he talks about his life with religion, such as his own baptism. Then he takes a different turn once again on his next album "Graduation", speaking of God not in religious ways but in sexual ways, making himself the leader and the woman he is with the one he talks to. After this album was released he struggles to see the belief in Christianity. Telling reporters, "I don't believe in religion and giving it all up to Jesus and stuff like that, I just believe in God. I would never say that it's in Jesus' hands".[internet sources #2]. Kanye bounces back and forth between his beliefs in all his albums and songs, but sticking with that God has a sepcific plan for him and that is what he needs to live by.
